FROM BARCELONA TO THE WORLD.
It may sound a little bit over the top, but just like Elon Musk realized transportation would change only if electric vehicles were affordable, we think fashion will only improve when buying sustainable clothing becomes as cheap and enjoyable as fast fashion. The world makes 100 billion of clothing pieces every year, but there's only 7 billion of us. 71% of fashion's pollution comes from production, the equivalent to 10% global CO2 and 20% of total water consumption.
There's an opportunity to create value for all (planet, clients and company) by pivoting away from the current unsustainable model thanks to on-demand: producing only what we'll be used. We launch products at the same speed (just one month), the same recurrence (new product drops every week), pricing (max +30% vs Zara) and trending designs as Fast Fashion.
But combined with the least environmental impact possible: no stock, vegan-certified, carbon-neutral, plastic-positive, and second-hand circularity. All including the quality, fair working conditions and supply chain transparency of producing in Spain.
This doesn't mean we're 100% sustainable. True sustainability is a path of continuous small improvements, not a marketing strategy. The on-demand model is the biggest step we can make, production is what has the biggest impact on the planet.
No animals harmed.
We have the official seal of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), the largest animal rights organization in the world, that no animal is used or harmed to produce any of our products.

Offsetting our CO2.
We’re a Digital Native Brand, which means most of our orders are made online. While ecommerce is wonderful because it lets us operate worldwide and offer you a convenient and affordable service, it has a hidden cost for the planet: transportation.
To offset this extra pollution we add because of our activity, we partnered with Pachama: the leading restorer of nature to solve climate change.
Through them, we fund their validated projects that offset the same amount (or more) of CO2 we produce in order to make our carbon print neutral.

Resale your wardrobe.
We're not going to tell you we are 100% sustainable. Any business activity has an impact on our planet and you deserve to know that's the truth no matter what. Recognizing our imperfections, our impact, is the first step towards being a better brand.
Conscious consumption is the path towards environmental neutrality. We want to extend the life of our clothes, we want you to help us make fashion circular because we believe in the quality of everything we do: fashion should not have expiration date.So for every new item you purchase, please first resale or donate one you don't use anymore. In exchange for the effort, we'll give you a discount for every sale of used clothing you make on Micolet.
Micolet is the largest consignment web platform in Europe with more than 1.8 million users and 60.000 pieces sold every month. For being a laagam client, Micolet we'll pick up your used clothing for free: just sent them an email with your laagam order number!

Supporting entrepreneurs.
We're zero stock, we now have become zero waste. If we're not able to re-use past seasons or spare fabrics, we never throw them or forget them on our warehouse.
We donate for free our spare materials to emerging brands, with the objective of inspiring the new generation of fashion entrepreneurs. If you want to be part, write to girls@laagam.com.
Our first partner brand is cu____co: circularity, solidarity and sustainability!
Reduce, recycle, reuse.
Our goal is to be as sustainable as posible in all our actions. We ship all our garments with recycled packaging, made to be reused as many times as possible. 100% LAAGAM. 0% WASTE.
EXTERNAL PACKAGING
A kraft paper bag made from responsible sources and certified by FSC. 100% recyclable and reusable.
INTERNAL PACKAGING
A silver bag made from 70% recycled plastic and certified by AENOR. 100% recyclable and reusable.
Handmade and paid in Spain.
We believe that the best Corporate Social Responsibility is to pay taxes: we’re made in Spain, but more importantly we pay taxes in Spain.
The best way to give back to society is by paying our fair share to fund public education, healthcare for all and social services. A cohesive society is a society that helps drive businesses. In our case, we wouldn’t be here without the support of ENISA, the Spanish public agency supporting entrepreneurship by giving flexible loans.
For all these reasons we joined Knowcosters, a foundation tracking those companies that support the Welfare State.

We believe fashion should stop being a top-down industry; we don't believe in a model where a few dictate the majority what they must wear. Our objective is to democratize the access to quality fashion and to socialize the design process by using the collective intelligence of all of us.
With your help, it takes us only one month to launch a new product. Thanks to you we can have new pieces almost every week. Once designs are approved we make small batches to minimize consumption and investment. If you vote for them (by making the first orders) we make small restocks to cover initial demand: but we stop before the tipping point of overcrowding to guarantee a certain degree of exclusivity.
